At KQ's Creative Talks Africa sessions hosted at Design Hub Kampala, we highlight professional East African Culture & Art influencers who are trailblazing within the creative industry to share their ideas, thoughts and experiences with a curious audience intentional about learning and networking.

These talks are supported by the British Council#EastAfricaArts program and the Culture At Work Program by Interarts Foundation + European Union in Uganda

During this month's Creative Talks Africa session we talk about the intersection between Fashion & Art. In this talk, we will host two emerging Ugandan based fashion designers who are creating fashion designs inspired by artistic forms.

Ssonko Brian Kassim from SONCO

Brian is a self-taught fashion designer, who founded the fashion brand called SONCO. He's inspired by building strong creative communities through culture, sustainable Fashion and using threads and needles to create a visible change. He's a recent winner of the SEED PROJECT 2018. SONCO has recently showcased at the Kampala Fashion Week and been featured in VOGUE Magazine, Nataal, New Vision and Daily Monitor.

AK Ibrahim from IGC Fashion
