Do you want to earn an academic qualification from a leading UK educational institution or other international universities?

The British Council administers exams on behalf of many UK and international universities and colleges, making distance learning possible around the world. To find out more about education opportunities in the UK, please visit the EducationUK website.

For information about taking an international university exam with the British Council in Uganda, please read through the sections below.

The University of London is one of the world’s leading academic institutions, recognised internationally as a centre of excellence. It is a federation of 20 world-class colleges and a number of acclaimed institutes. Among the members of staff and alumni are over 55 Nobel prize winners and over 35 past or present Heads of State.
University of London degrees have been accessible to students worldwide through their International Programmes since 1858. Today, the University of London has over 40,000 students in more than 180 countries studying for 100 different programmes

Registrations for the University of London exams start on Friday 15 August 2025 and close on Monday 1 September 2025. Distance learners can now sit for their University of London exams with the British Council and complete their degrees without leaving Uganda. Exams will take place in Kampala.
